Guelph Public Library is pleased to feature local art and community displays in our library spaces. Local artists and community organizations can share their work or displays at the library for community members to enjoy. You do not have to be a professional artist to participate; all creativity is welcome.

How to apply:

The location and time period of your display is dependent upon availability.

Read the Display and Exhibit policy.
Fill out the Display and Exhibition application.
You will be contacted by a staff member within seven days.

Display and Exhibition Application

As we prepare for our move to the new Central Library, we will not be accepting display requests at the Main Library for 2026 and all spaces at this location for 2025 are occupied. You can still display your art at our Bullfrog, Eastside, West End and Westminster branches. In the meantime, we're reviewing this program as we make plans for the new space.

Exhibit rules & artist’s waiver*

I acknowledge that my property, including, without limitation, any art or other items on display (collectively to be known as the “Property”) may be damaged, lost or stolen during the exhibition of or during the unpacking, packing or transportation of and I acknowledge and understand the risk involved by allowing such property to be displayed by the "The Library" (acknowledged as the Guelph Public Library).

Insurance policy*

I understand that The Library does not insure the Property and if I so choose I must acquire my own insurance. If I so choose such Insurance, I agree to submit a copy to The Library.

I understand that I am responsible for the hanging or display of any Property and must get prior approval of any signage from The Library.

Exhibit end date*

The term of the Exhibition begins when the Artwork is delivered to the Library, and shall run through the agreed upon Exhibit End Date, when the Artwork is to be reclaimed by the Lender. The “exhibit end date” means the date so specified after receiving approval.

Property release*

In the event that the Property is not removed by the agreed upon End Date, the Library has the absolute right, in its sole discretion, to remove or to relocate any Property.

Intellectual property infringement

By signing this waiver, I hereby agree to indemnify and hold The Library, its Board, employees or designated representatives, harmless from any type of intellectual property infringement, including but not limited to patent, copyright or trademark infringement.

Personal injury or property damage*

By signing this waiver, I also agree to waive any personal injury or property damage claim, now or in the future, that I may suffer as a result of the “exhibition”, and I agree to indemnify and hold The Library, Board of Trustees, employees and designated representatives, harmless from any personal injury or property damage claim, now or in the future, that I may suffer or cause at the “exhibition”.

Each branch library except for Scottsdale Branch and Bookmobile have wall space for art exhibits. The exhibits are up for one month. Westminster Square Branch also has a lockable glass cabinet in the front entrance.
