The Activate our Spaces Capital Campaign will raise $5 million by 2026 to fully equip Guelph’s new Central Library with the programs, technologies, and resources needed to unlock its full potential - and that of our community.
This once-in-a-generation initiative focuses on four key priorities:
- Enhancing Community Spaces: creating flexible, multi-purpose areas for reading, collaboration, study groups, community events, and inclusive programming.
- Fueling Creativity with Innovation: outfitting a new community Makerspace with cutting-edge technology and creative tools to inspire designers, tinkerers, and storytellers.
- Amplifying and Preserving Guelph’s Story: ensuring an Archives that can better collect, protect, and share Guelph’s unique history with the generations to come.
- Planning for What’s Next: building long-term resilience through future-ready investments in programs, equipment renewal, and resourcing to meet the evolving needs of our growing community within the new space.
