Born to Read

The Born to Read initiative strives to introduce literacy to all infants born in Guelph.
- Assemble Born to Read package materials (Adults/Youths grades 7 to12).
- Deliver Born to Read packages to the Guelph General Hospital (Adults).
Teen Advisory Group (TAG)

The Guelph Public Library's Teen Advisory Group helps to make the library a special place for teens. TAG is a chance to have your say, become involved in your community and meet new friends. Teens living in Guelph entering grades 7 through 12 are eligible to apply.
About
Meetings take place at the Main Library, on the second floor, in the Children and Youth Services Department. TAG meets once a month from October to June. The meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month from 4:00-5:00 PM. Please contact teens@guelphpl.ca if you have any questions.
Responsibilities of a TAG member
- Attend all meetings and be an active participant
- Suggest ways the library can better serve teens
- Offer ideas for exciting teen programs
- Volunteer to plan and run community events
- Provide feedback about the library's teen collection, including:
- Books
- Graphic novels
- Magazines
- CDs
- DVDs
- Video games
